Crazy! Samsung Renamed London Tube Old to Fold Street Station as their new phone promotion (July 2024)

Alright folks, gather ’round! Today, we’re diving into the wild world of marketing stunts and historic tube stations.

So, Samsung decided to rename the iconic Old Street Station in London to Fold Street Station.

A station that’s been around since 1901, smack dab in the middle of a district filled with some of Banksy’s finest, is now named after a phone.

I mean, who needs history when you have a foldable screen, right?
This isn’t the first time in London. Remember when Bond Street became Burberry Street during London Fashion Week?

Now, Samsung’s Fold Street is attracting visitors like moths to a very expensive flame.

But..think about the elderly who is lost in the tube or imagine calling 999 and good luck with that.

Arsenal can rename their stadium to Emirates Stadium for £100 million, what’s stopping Holloway Road Station from becoming Huawei Road Station or Victoria Secret Station?

So, what do you think? What station might be next!
